Superior police ordered southbound lanes on the Blatnik Bridge closed this morning to deal with traffic accidents on the bridge. Treacherous conditions have prompted the closure.
Assistant Police Chief Scott Campbell said officers are dealing with multiple accidents on the bridge.
The first snowfall is resulting in the road icing up underneath, Campbell.
"First snowfall, I guess people are not so used to it," he said.
The Blatnik was reopened to traffic shortly before 9 a.m.; however, Campbell said ice forming under the snow was continuing to create treacherous conditions.
