A Superior man who police allege was part of a fentanyl distribution ring in the Twin Ports made his initial appearance in Douglas County Circuit Court on Monday.
Jonathan David Polaski, 21, faces felony counts of second and subsequent offense conspiracy to distribute heroin and bail jumping. An arrest warrant, which had been issued for Polaski on June 29, was canceled and $50,00 cash bail was ordered, according to online court records.
According to the criminal complaint, Polaski told investigators he sold heroin for Joshua Wilding from December to May, when Wilding was arrested in Duluth.
Polaski said he would get 10 grams at a time from Wilding, up to 10 times a week, making $30 profit per gram sold.
When investigators with the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant May 31 on a Duluth residence where Wilding was leaving, they located more than 100 grams of a substance that tested positive for fentanyl and multiple firearms hidden above the ceiling tiles.
