The Summer Reading Program begins Monday. This year's theme is Be Creative @ Your Library for preschool through 5th grade. Our Teen Read program's theme is Express Yourself @ Your Library for grades 6 and above. Prizes and books will be awarded for reading. These programs run through August 8th. Pick up your reading log in the library Children's Room on or after June 15th.

On Wednesday, June 17th from 2-3 p.m. in the meeting room, there will be a program called "Introduction to Gardening." Pederson's Gardens and Landscapes will introduce children to the world of gardening and will show them how to make a butterfly or humming-bird container.

On Wednesday, June 24th from 2-3 p.m. in the meeting room there will be a program called "Robert & Lynn Halbrook's Imagineering @ Your Local Library." This is an exciting show emphasizing books and reading using magic, creativity, a whacky invention and much more. All are welcome. No registration is required. The Victoria Gotsky Trachtenberg Reading Fund sponsors this program.

The Friends of the Library will meet on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the library classroom. You are welcome to join us as we plan ways to help the library through our volunteer efforts.

The lobby art display features beautiful glass etchings by Martin Karpa. Take a look as you go by.
