The Superior Senior High School won the WIAA sectional golf tournament in Hayward and will be entered in the state tournament in Wisconsin Rapids. The Spartans were led by Chris Morgan's 79. The other Spartan par chasers were Tom Shober and Aaron Gotham, 83s; and Chris Muenzner, 87. (1982)
Herb Bergson's 35 took individual scoring honors in the Scratch League Eastern Division at the Nemadji Golf Course, one stroke better than rounds of Jim Crawford and Bill Law. In the Western Division, Terry Gotham and John Pettingill were scoring leaders with 38s. (1982)
