Landmark Lanes to host jamboree
The new merger Bowling Association for all Superior bowlers will hold its Jamboree Sunday at Landmark Lanes in Superior.
This meeting is for secretaries and presidents of all men's, women's and mixed leagues.
There will be a bowling tournament at 2 p.m. and the meeting will be at 4 p.m.
New rules and forms will be discussed and league supplies will be given out.

Guillory named player of the week
Superior Stampede running back, Kevin Guillory, of Iota, Louisiana was named MFL Player of the Week for the second time this season after posting 127 yards rushing, one touchdown in the Stampede's 24-10 victory over the Midwest Pioneers.
On Saturday, the Stampede will host the Twin Cities Titans at 3:30 p.m. at Ole Haugsrud Field in Superior.
Hunter safety class offered in Superior
A hunter safety class will be offered on Tuesdays and Thrusdays at the DNR Service Center, 1401 Tower Ave. in Superior.
The class will be taught by Tom Blundell and a team of certified instructors.
Classes will be held from Aug. 22 to Sept. 19 from 6:30 p.m. -8:30 p.m. A range day will take place Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon.
