The Superior High School volleyball team lost to Duluth Central 3-2 Thursday night in the SHS gym.
Superior started slow, dropping the first two games by identical scores of 25-14. The Spartans rebounded with 25-18 and 25-17 wins, but dropped the deciding game 15-11.
For Superior, Becca Vaughan had 10 set assists; Becky Anderson had five kills and two block assists; Ally Keute had seven digs and one ace serve; Dani Magdzas had 10 set assists, four digs and three block assists; Christa Diedrich nine kills, two ace serves, eight digs and four block assists; and Abby Gotelaere had eight kills, six ace serves and six block assists.
Girls Tennis
Duluth East won all four singles matches on its way to a 5-2 win over the SHS girls tennis team Thursday at SHS. Superior won in No. 1 and No.3 doubles.
