The Solon Springs boys basketball team fell 46-32 to Mercer at home Friday night. The Eagles are now 1-2 overall and 0-2 in conference play, while Mercer is 2-0 both overall and in conference play.

Eagles' coach Matt Berger said the team couldn't seem to get anything going in the game. The team battled foul trouble, but Berger said the main problem the Eagles encountered in the game came from Mercer center Greg Roeder.

Roeder led all players in scoring with 22 points. The Eagles simply could not find an answer for the center, Berger said.

None of Solon Springs' players scored in double figures, but Kyle Polzin was the leading scorer for the Eagles with eight points.
