The Superior High School girls soccer team added a win to its record with a 5-0 victory over the Bayfield Trollers Monday night at the SHS soccer fields.
Senior Paige Maki scored in the first half for Superior and Marrissa Foley recorded the first half shutout in the goal.
In the second half the Spartans started their scoring drive with sophomore Brittany Hawley, junior Bridgette VanPuymbrouck, sophomore defender Elizabeth Johnson and, with seconds remaining, freshman Karlie Thomas netting goals.
The second half shutout was credited to senior Katie Gigliotti, who came up big saving a penalty kick in the final minutes.
"It was an excellent team effort for 80 minutes of soccer," SHS coach Kate Thompson said.
