The Superior Speedway opened the season before a crowd of approximately 1,800 racing fans Friday night at the Head of the Lake Fairgrounds.
Six feature winners were crowned Friday night, including Pure Stock defending champion Glen Dammer of Duluth.
Other feature winners were Darin Meierotto, Superior, Super Stocks; Al Uotinen, Superior, Modifieds; Jeff Pohjonen, Duluth, Midwest Modifieds; Steve Laursen, Cumberland, Late Models; and Shane Kisling, Rice Lake, Street Stocks. Racing returns to the Speedway on Friday with Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks in competition.
