PROCTOR -- A fierce thunderstorm dropped heavy rain and hail on the Proctor Speedway Thursday night, forcing speedway officials to postpone the Silver 1000.
Unfortunately for the many fans in attendance, a stellar field of 103 cars were on hand in the two divisions with 47 late models and 56 modifieds were set to compete.
The Silver 1000 will become part of Proctober Fest, Oct. 3-4.
Fan refunds are available by sending admission wristbands to: Proctor Speedway, P.O. 1069, Duluth, MN 55810.
Wristbands will not be honored at the Proctober Fest. Pit people and drivers may use their wristbands for the Proctober Fest. For more information go to www.proctorspeedway.com .
