The Superior High School boys swimming and diving team finished third in its own Head of the Lakes Invitational Saturday at the SHS natatorium.
Hudson won the team title with 573 points. Duluth was second at 420 and Superior was third at 414.
For Superior, Jacob Noonan was third in the 200 freestyle and fourth in the 500 freestyle; George Eisenmann tied for fifth in the 50 freestyle and third in the 100 freestyle; Mike Sherwood was second in diving; and Andre Anderson was third in the 100 breaststroke.
In Friday's win over Eau Claire North, Noonan and Eisenmann each won swimming events while Sherwood prevailed in diving for the Spartans.
Superior enjoyed numerous personal best times while piling up seconds and thirds to win based upon the depth of a young, developing squad.

The Spartans swam again at Grand Rapids at 5 p.m. Thursday.
