Superior High School counselors will be available to register new students next week.
Registration runs 8 a.m. to noon and 1-3:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the guidance office, Room 104. To schedule an appointment, call 394-8725 beginning Monday. If parents/guardians of incoming students have not already done so, stop by the main office at SHS to sign an authorization form so SHS can request student records from their child's previous school. This will streamline the registration process.
Hot lunch at SHS will be served beginning Sept. 2. Milk will be available at a cost of 50 cents for students who carry a bag lunch from home. The student lunch number is incorporated into the school identification number, so one card will serve both purposes. To use this card for lunch, a positive balance must be maintained in the family lunch account or the student must have been approved for the free status.
Students without their ID card on any given day will be able to purchase a daily lunch in the cafeteria for $2. Forms to help determine eligibility can be picked up in the main office at SHS or at the School District office at 3025 Tower Ave.
SHS students are required to purchase a school lock, available for $4 in the treasurer's office at SHS, or may bring a lock from Superior Middle School as long as it is a school purchased lock.
