The Superior High School girls golf team picked up wins over Cumberland, Luck and St. Croix Falls at the Nemadji Golf Course on Monday.
Superior finished with a score of 209, while Cumberland came in at 237. Luck and St. Croix Falls did not have enough golfers for a score.
Picking up meet medalist honors was Ally Gotelaere, who carded a 39 for the Spartans.
"Ally played an excellent round with only one hiccup on hole No. 6," SHS coach Jason Kalin said. "She started the round out with a par on No. 1 and a brilliant eagle on hole No. 2 by reaching the green in two from 200 yards out with her hybrid and sinking a slippery 15-foot putt for the eagle."
Gotelaere added another birdie on hold No. 7 and continued with solid play to move away from the rest of the field.
"Her ball striking was remarkable, her drives were some of the longest she has hit all year, out driving her opponents significantly on every hole," Kalin said. "This was the round Ally needed heading into the postseason. Practice is starting to pay off."
Other golfers contributing to Superior's team score were Anne Tracy, 50; Alisha Moran, 58; and Kali O'Neill, 62. Allie Shober had a non-counting 68, and on the junior varsity team Samantha Aune carded a 58 for Superior.
"Alisha played a solid round and is managing to inch her score down into the mid-50s, but her putting was a little shaky," Kalin said. "The last few matches our focus has been on two putts or less per hole, and she let a few get away, but she is at least making a strong effort to improve."
