The SHS girls hockey team used a solid second period performance to defeat the Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels 4-1 in Superior on Tuesday night.
Ashlee Olson had two goals on the night for the Spartans and Taylor VanDamme and Cassie Berg each added one goal.
SHS goalie Janine Seifert had 19 save for the Spartans, 10 in the final period.
The Spartans are off now until after Christmas break. Their next game is at Cloquet on Tuesday, Jan. 9
