The Superior High School girls hockey team came out on the short end of a 2-0 final score Monday night against the Duluth Northern Stars at Pioneer Hall in Duluth.
Duluth's Lauren Braiedy scored at 16:21 of the first period and Gina Dodge scored on a power play at 14:30 of the third period to account for the game's scoring.
"It was a good, physical game," SHS coach Scott VanDamme said. "We had some opportunities in the first period, but we just didn't capitalize.
"We gave up a power-play goal late, but overall, our penalty kill did a good job and I thought we played very well."
