In a twist on conventional fundraising, Superior residents will have the opportunity to earn money for Superior High School by test driving a new Ford vehicle.

For every participant who takes an all-new Flex, or a new Focus, Edge or other Ford vehicle for a spin during the "Cruise 4 UR School" event Friday and Saturday, Ford and Benna Ford will donate $20 (up to a total of $6,000) to Superior High School.

The SHS football team and mascot Sparty will be at Benna Ford to rally the community to test drive a new Ford vehicle, while volunteers wash the car they drove up in. A food wagon will serve lunch to hungry test drivers.

Money raised from the event will go to academic and sports related clubs.

The event runs 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday or 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Benna Ford, 3022 Tower Ave.
