Shirley E. Peterson, 83, of Superior, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, in Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Washburn, on Aug. 12, 1924, to George and Alma Westlund. Shirley was a homemaker, and had been a Girl Scout Troop leader. She enjoyed going to the East End Café for coffee, and trips to the casino.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles D. Peterson, and a daughter Karen L. Pettingill.
Shirley is survived by a son Richard C. Peterson of Madison; sister Geraldine Johnson of El Cajon, Calif.; grandson Michael C. Pettingill of Orlando; and a special friend Doris Lindberg.
Private family services will be held. Arrangements by Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home.
