The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a severe thunderstorm watch effective until 10 p.m. for Douglas, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Iron, Price, Sawyer and Washburn counties in northwestern Wisconsin.
A severe thunderstorm warning for Duluth-Superior was in effect until 5 p.m. About 4:30 p.m., golf ball-size hail fell in the Duluth Height s. Marble-size hail fell in Superior about 15 minutes later.
