The third annual Amethyst Ball will be held May 18 at Barker's Island Inn, Superior, beginning at 6 p.m.
The event, sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association, includes a social hour, dinner buffet, caregiver recognition, dancing and silent auction.
One of many items featured at the silent auction is a team ball signed by the Packers.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Alzheimer's Association and services provided in Douglas County. This includes the toll free helpline, family care consultations, caregiver support groups, and educational opportunities.
