Seniors interested in volunteering for counseling sessions conducted by a student pursuing a master's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Superior are being sought.

Aubrey Tuders is an upper level graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, pursuing a master's of education in counseling. She is seeking a volunteer to participate in a counseling experience, a requirement for practical education credits.

Tuders promises an authentic counseling experience for the volunteer. The sessions run 50 minutes and take place once a week for six weeks on UWS campus. Appointments would be scheduled at your convenience, and would start the third week of September to run until the end of October.

All sessions will be videotaped as part of Tuders' educational experience and may be viewed by other students in the class to provide feedback on the counseling process. All tapes are destroyed after the six weekly sessions conclude and are never to be taken out of the counseling center. All students and the instructor are bound by confidentiality and are not permitted to discuss the content outside of the counseling center or they risk expulsion from the program.

Tuders is hoping to work with an older individual and will be happy to answer any questions about herself, her theory of counseling, confidentiality guidelines, and what to expect in this counseling experience.
