This is the menu for the following week for the nutrition program of the Aging Resource Center for Douglas County.

Week of June 9-13

Monday -- Roast beef au jus, baked potato, sour cream, peas and pearl onions, dinner roll, apple pie.

Tuesday -- Ham-n-Swiss sandwich, cheese broccoli soup, crackers, potato salad, salad dressing, tapioca pudding.

Wednesday -- Quaker spaghetti, tossed salad, salad dressing, Italian blend veggies, French bread, cookie.

Thursday -- Ginger barbecue chicken breast, potatoes, squash, dinner roll, fresh fruit.

Friday -- Meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, peas, wheat bread, chocolate cake.

The Home Delivered Meals program provides a hot meal in microwave-safe reusable trays or bowls. Meals are available Monday-Friday to people 60 or older or with disabilities who are homebound.

People are referred to Aging Resource Center for Douglas County Home Delivered Meals by a social worker, doctor or family member. Anyone who receives this service is asked to contribute to the cost of the meal. Contributions are confidential and no one will be denied because of their inability to pay. Donation request is $3.50 per meal.

Meals are served at the following congregate sites: Phoenix Villa, 1001 Clough Ave., 591-3553; Superior Senior Center, 1527 Tower Ave., 591-0001; Holy Assumption Church, 5601 Tower Ave., 394-7919; Lake Nebagamon Auditorium, 374-3101; Gordon Town Hall, 376-4683; Solon Springs Village Hall, 378-4546; Wentworth/Amnicon Senior Center, 364-2316; Summit Town Hall, 399-8687; Dairyland at the Northland Community Center, 244-3354; and in Brule at the Kro Bar and Grill, 372-4985. Make your reservations one serving day before the meal at the meal site where you wish to eat.
