Scott T. Holmes, 49, of Madison, formerly of Superior, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 21, 2007.
He was born July 31, 1957, in Superior, the son of Richard Holmes and Lorraine Urbaniak.
He graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1975. Following graduation, Scott enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Spain for two years. He later moved to Madison, a city he truly loved. Scott's passions included biking, gardening, brewing his own beer and spending time up north at "the shack." Scott found comfort among friends at the East Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Madison.
He is survived by mother, Lorraine Urbaniak of Superior; son, Lansing Roeber of Superior; siblings, Peggy (Bill) Nelson of Superior, Suzee (Joe) Farmer of La Crosse, Tad (Kari J.) Holmes of Oregon, Karen (Pat) Johnson of Superior, and Troy (Kari L.) Holmes of Superior; companion, Betty Hicks of Madison; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Holmes.
Services will be held at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 4058 Lien Road, Madison, at 2 p.m. Saturday. Friends may call the funeral home Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of service, (608) 442-0477. A memorial service will be held in Superior at a later date.
