Scott A. Kimmes, 40, longtime Superior area resident, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, as a result of an industrial accident in the Village of Superior.
He was born in Superior Dec. 19, 1966, the son of Joseph P. and Kathleen (Timmer) Kimmes.
Scott was a 1985 graduate of Superior Senior High School.
He married his wife, Mary Lundberg on Sept. 11, 1999, in Superior and celebrated eight years of marriage.
Scott was a member of Holy Assumption Church in Superior.

He co-owned and operated J. Kimmes Construction and Lakehead Blacktop and Materials, Inc.
In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his father and stepmother, Joseph (Kathleen "Chatty") Kimmes; one sister, Kathi "Peachie" (Tim) Schmid; a stepsister, Lori (Shawn) Buttrick; three brothers, Tom (Michelle) Kimmes, Lester "Bob" (Crystal) Johnson and Peter (Jill) Kimmes, all of Superior; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lonny and Kathleen Lundberg, Superior; sisters-in-law, Julie Kimmes and Jennifer Lundberg-Gavin; brother-in-law, Michael Lundberg; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Kimmes.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Ave., Superior, where a Catholic prayer service will be held at 8 p.m.
Visitation continues Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial in Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church in Superior. The Rev. Ronald Olson and the Rev. Father Daniel Dahlberg will concelebrate the Mass.
Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Superior.
Pallbearers for the service will be Tom Murray, Steve Gotelaere, Tom Steen, Wayde Wiitala, Tim Van Overmeiren, and Todd Baker.
A scholarship fund has been set up for the Superior School District in honor of Joseph P. Kimmes III and Scott A. Kimmes.
