Applications are now being accepted for the Douglas County Fish and Game League Scholarship.

The $500 scholarship is designed to help support the educational goals of graduating high school students. It may be used for tuition or other educational expenses and will be awarded upon proof of enrollment in a post-secondary school.

To apply students must be graduating seniors with at least a cumulative grade point average of 2.5. Applicants must also be residents of Douglas County seeking a degree in one or more of the following areas: conservation, forestry, wildlife management, soil management, fisheries, biology, conservation officer or other related areas.

Along with the completed application form, students must provide two letters of reference from employees of the school district and one letter of reference from someone not employed by the district who is not a relative.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted. The scholarship winner will be notified by mail.
