The "Rudy Run" four-wheeler event raised $2,100, which was donated to the Superior Youth Organization.

The "Rudy Run" is in memory of Rudolph "Rudy" LaJoie, who passed away on Sept. 28, 2012, from liver and esophageal cancer. His family honored him with the run that took place one year after his passing, and one day after what would have been his 72nd birthday on Sept. 7.

The event drew more than 70 four-wheelers and around 20 cars.

"Along with his passion for four-wheeling, Rudy was also passionate about youth sports," said LaJoie's son, Kevin. "He loved to watch his grandson (Michael) participate in all the sports he played, and he was especially passionate about baseball."

Plans are under way for the '2014 Rudy Run.'
