Rubber Chicken Theater holds auditions for its October world-premiere of "Bushed: A Poetical, Political, Partly Musical Tragicomedy in Two Acts" 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Proctor Area Community Center, 100 Pionk Drive.
There are roles for nine men and women to play a wide variety of characters from the last eight years of the Bush administration. Previous acting experience is helpful but not necessary. As the title indicates, there will be music in the show so previous singing and dancing experience is also desired.
Performers are asked to bring in 16 bars of any song and sing it. Piano accompaniment will be provided. Loose clothing should also be worn as there will be movement as well as cold readings from the script, which is written in verse.
"Bushed" will be performed at the Harbor City International School Theater in October. The play contains adult language and themes.
