Richard "Cowboy" Korthof, 59, of the Town of Superior, passed away May 30, 2007, at his home.

Richard was born Jan. 14, 1948, in Shell Lake to the late Robert and Lorraine (Booth) Korthof.

Richard served his country in the United States Army from 1968 -1971 earning a National Defense Service Metal. He was employed with Merchant Park Company as a truck driver.

Richard married Vicki Smith July 21, 2001 in Superior. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting on the farm, and playing with his grandchildren.

Among those who survive and gratefully shared his life are his wife, Vicki of Superior; two sons, Kelly Korthof of Barron, and Ricky Korthof of Oregon; one daughter, Cassandra (Matthew) Fuller, Superior; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several brothers and sisters; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday at the Northern Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Beaver Brook, Wis., with burial to follow. Condolences and memories may be shared for "Cowboy" at www.brownfuneralhome.net .
