People can now register for the Great Lakes Wolf Summit planned for September.

Sen. Tom Tiffany, R-Hazelhurst, and Rep. Adam Jarchow, R-Balsam Lake, are hosting the summit that will bring together concerned citizens, policy makers and sportsmen from Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin to discuss wolf management.

The free summit runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 15 at Das Lach Haus, 1788 Elm St., Cumberland, Wis.

Lunch can be purchased for $13, provided by Das Lach Haus.

The keynote speaker, Ted Lyon, author of "The Real Wolf," will give his presentation over the lunch hour. Lyon has spent years researching and studying wolves and their behaviors.

Other presenters include David Ruid, wildlife biologist at USDA-APHIS Wildlife Services, and Don Peay, founder of Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife, among others.

Testimony from those affected by wolves will be heard throughout the day.
