The third in a series of mini track and cross country meets held at the University of Wisconsin-Superior Tuesday brought to an end what has been a successful series of races.
Dane Moreland, a graduate of Northwestern High School, set a new course record in the three-mile cross country run with a time of 15 minutes, 8 seconds. The previous record, held by Dan Conley of Wrenshall, Minn., was set in 2006.
Also breaking the previous record time were Kelsey Moreland and David Teige. All three runners are either current of former athletes running for Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Raya Kosey was the top finisher in the 100-meter run with a time of 14.05. Pete Anderson missed his predicted time in the predicted mile by just one second, Keith Thompson won the open mile in 5:07, and Jarred Hinzmann took first in the 800-meter run with a 2:26 time.
