The Dolly Parton Imagination Library has come to Douglas County.

Families living within a Douglas County zip code and with one or more children age newborn to five years old are eligible for the free book program. An age-appropriate, hardcover book will be mailed to the child's home each month until the month before the child turns five.

If you missed today's kickoff at the Superior Public Library, families still have a chance to sign up for the program.

Other sign up event at being held 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 13 during Lucius Woods Performing Arts Center's free Children's Festival in Solon Springs and 2-3 p.m. June 17 at the Imogene McGrath Memorial Library in Lake Nebagamon.

Families may also register online at: ImaginationLibrary.com. or complete a registration form and mail it in to United Way of Superior-Douglas County, 1507 Tower Avenue, Suite 215, Superior, WI 54880. If you would like a brochure you may pick one up at any of the three libraries in Douglas County or call United Way at 394-2733 to have one mailed to you.
