The city of Superior Environmental Services Division of Public Works and the city of Superior Parks and Recreation Department encourages the public to attend an open house for the planned bio-stabilization of a 1,000-foot reach of Faxon Creek in Central Park.

The open house will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 9 at the Central Park Pavilion, 717 Sixth Ave. East, Superior.

The purpose of the open house is to inform the public about the project, which includes grading some of the creek's eroded banks, placing rock gabions and erosion control mat, and planting native vegetation to stabilize the creek bank.

During the open house, the public will be able to discuss the project in an informal manner with city of Superior officials and are encouraged to comment and ask questions. Maps, drawings, and other pertinent information, including all state and federal permits, will be available for public inspection.

Individuals with a disability who need a reasonable accommodation to participate in this event should contact Amber Westerbur at (715) 394-0392, ext. 149 by 4:30 p.m. on July 5.
