Superior police are looking for more information concerning a car found abandoned on the Blatnik Bridge on Christmas Eve.
Police responded to a report of a stalled automobile on the bridge around 8:05 p.m. Sunday.
The first officer on the scene discovered the car on the Wisconsin side of the Duluth bound lane. The vehicle was running with the headlights on and the hazard lights activated, according to a news release issued by Sgt. Nicholas Alexander.
The vehicle was unoccupied and an officer located a woman's purse on the passenger seat. Other indications at the scene suggested the woman might have jumped off the bridge.
The U.S. Coast Guard responded to the scene and conducted a search by boat and helicopter. A body was not located and search was suspended at 2 a.m.

Family of the 21-year-old driver from rural Douglas County was notified but police are not releasing the woman's name at this time. .
