Pirouette your way to Minnesota Ballet for Valentine's Day performance

For a special Valentine's evening, forget the usual movie and thrill your special someone with live dance when the Minnesota Ballet's "Dance by Dancers."

Held at Fregeau Auditorium, Marshall School, 1215 Rice Lake Road, the ballet troupe presents all new works choreographed in dance styles from classical to contemporary set to music ranging from a Beethoven symphony to a modern British composition.

Superior native Amanda Abrahamson and Superior resident Daniel Blake present pieces, and they and Superior-area native Elsie Franczyk dance in the performance.

Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. show are $12-$22 for adults; $10-$17 for students; and $8-$15 for children 12 and younger. Buy one ticket and get one at half price is available only through the ballet office.

Tickets may be purchased at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center ticket office and at all Ticketmaster outlets.
