The Friends of the Library met on Nov.15 and voted to meet monthly in 2008. Members also changed the day of their meetings to every second Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

They will not meet in July or December. The annual meeting will be May 20. They hope to accomplish more if they meet more often. Consider becoming involved with this important group in 2008.

In other business, the Friends set the date of their April book sale to April 25-26. It will be held on a Friday and Saturday this year to match library hours.

The library board also voted to change their regular meeting days. They resume their meetings on the second Wednesday of every month. It had been changed to the schedule of the school representative, Laura Kremer, who is no longer on our board. We thank her for her good service and welcome the new representative, Dr. Patrick Dorin.

The Friends of the Library will stop in 10 a.m. Dec. 6 to help decorate the library, send some greeting cards, and join the library staff in a holiday pizza party.
