Patricia "Pat" Olson, 79, Superior, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, in the Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Dec. 26, 1927, in Duluth to Frederik and Eva (Keith) Pfeifer.
She graduated from high school in International Falls, Minn.
Pat married Donald Olson on his birthday, Oct. 19, 1950, in International Falls and celebrated 56 years of marriage.
Pat was a longtime active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and its Altar Society. She was also a lay minister in the Catholic church for many years and loved to distribute communion to fellow parishioners.

She had been previously employed by the former Northern Pacific Railroad as a telegrapher and depot agent for many years before her retirement. She was also a ham radio operator for many years. Her ham radio identification was KQ9FPAT.
In addition to her husband, Don, she is survived by one son, Alan Olson, Superior; five grandchildren, Jamie (Todd) Brulette, Alaska; Jennie Meyers, Minneapolis; Jackie Meyers, Delaware; Joshua Meyers, Delaware; and Joseph Meyers, Delaware; and one sister, Gretchen Eldien, Cook, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Karen Meyer; two brothers, Keith and Bill Pfeifer; and a sister, Lenore Wallin.
Visitation will be at 12 noon until the 1 p.m. Mass of Christian burial Friday in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service will be Ron and Jim Dembroski, Bob Drahota and Paul Olson.
Pat's grandchildren will be recognized as honorary pallbearers.
