A woman who’s been on the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office’s “most wanted” list for nearly seven years was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on Wednesday, March 24, after being arrested in Sauk County, Wisconsin.
Wendy Lucinda Saathoff, 42, of Maple Lake, Minnesota, faces 17 misdemeanor charges of failing to provide food and shelter to more than a dozen animals at a Foxboro residence.

Saathoff made her initial appearance in Douglas County Circuit Court on June 26, 2014, and signed a $5,000 signature bond. She was ordered not to own, possess or care for any animals. The court was notified four days later that she had moved to Duluth. A bench warrant was issued for her arrest when Saathoff failed to appear for a status conference Sept. 2, 2014.
With her return to Douglas County, Saathoff made an appearance before Court Commissioner Rebecca Lovejoy on Thursday, March 25. Cash bail of $5,000 was set for the Minnesota woman and she was ordered not to possess any animals. Her next appearance was set for May 21.
With the arrest of Saathoff, two individuals remain on the Douglas County “most wanted” list :
Kyle Ray Cribb, 26, faces one count of second-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 16. The arrest warrant for Cribb, whose last known address was in Colorado Springs, Colorado, was filed Sept. 11, 2014.

Eric James Eskola, 55, faces two counts of first-degree child sex assault in Douglas County Circuit Court. The arrest warrant for Eskola, a former Superior man whose address and whereabouts are unknown, was filed Oct. 28, 2015. According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, a federal warrant for the production and manufacture of child pornography has also been issued for Eskola.

Neither Eskola or Cribb has made an initial appearance in Douglas County Circuit Court on the charges, according to online court records. Anyone with information on Cribb or Eskola is asked to contact the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office at 715-394-4432 or 911.
