For the first time since April 4, a new COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Douglas County, bringing the total number of cases confirmed through lab-based testing to eight.
The communities that have had confirmed COVID-19 cases within the county include the city of Superior, rural Superior and the village of Lake Nebagamon, according to Douglas County.
Of the eight confirmed cases and four probable cases — people who are close to positive cases and have had symptoms, but were not tested —10 of them are recovered and no longer need to be isolated.
No new cases were reported in Ashland and Bayfield counties Saturday, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Statewide, 4,199 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 211 people have died.
