Ona Mae Isaacson, 81, of 3918 N. 21st St., died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at St. Mary's Medical Center Hospice, Duluth.
She was born Nov. 25, 1926, in Superior, daughter of Augusta (Erickson) and Charles Bramer.
Ona Mae graduated from Superior Central High School and Superior State Teachers College.
On March 1, 1947, she married Martin F. Isaacson at Hammond Avenue Presbyterian Church, Superior.
Her teaching career included Itasca Grade School, where she taught K-3 and was teacher/director at Tiny Tot Head Start, Superior.

Ona Mae was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and the Onaway Club. She loved her women's groups and was a member throughout the years of several flower clubs, bridge clubs and hen parties. Many years ago she was a den mother for her son's Cub Scout troop.
Following Martin's retirement, the two were snowbirds in Tucson, Ariz. for many years. While in Tucson, they were avid cribbage players and belonged to a weekly cribbage group.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Martin in 2007 and daughter, Nancy Ann Isaacson.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Michael) Doyle, Superior; son, Thomas Isaacson, Burnsville, Minn.; grandchildren, Brian Doyle and Jackelyn Doyle, both of Superior; sister, Irmgard Retzer, Grantsburg; and grand puppy, Chloe, who never missed sharing a meal with grandma.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Thursday at the United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Joel Huenemann officiating.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Isaacson, Michael Doyle, Brian Doyle and Kenneth Thomson.
Following the service, a luncheon will be served at the church, and everyone is invited to attend.
Interment will follow the luncheon in the Poplar Cemetery, Poplar.
