EAGLE, Wis. (AP) -- Old World Wisconsin in southeastern Wisconsin is planning a day to honor Wisconsin author Laura Ingalls Wilder.

The museum that features settler-era villages is holding "Laura Ingalls Wilder Days PLUS Farm Power" next weekend on July 23 and July 24.

Visitors can try many of the same activities as Laura and her family, many directly from her nine "Little House" books.

Ingalls Wilder was born near Pepin in 1867. The fictionalized stories of "Little House" track the family's life and travels in Wisconsin, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota and South Dakota.
