With the Waterloo Black Hawks' victory over Kearney, Neb., last Friday night, former Superiorite P.K. O'Handley won his 300th regular season victory as an USHL Head Coach.

His 160 victories with the Black Hawks in just over five full seasons have come after 140 wins during seven seasons with the North Iowa Huskies.

O'Handley has achieved the fifth-highest win total among USHL coaches all-time.

"I guess it means I've been around a long time. It's been an honor to coach in the USHL this long," said O'Handley. "It's about the people, the kids, and giving them opportunities to move on, and maybe teaching them a little bit about life and a little bit about hockey. I just want them to say 'It was an experience and I learned.'"

Only four coaches besides O'Handley have 300 or more wins during regular season USHL play, including Bob Ferguson (Sioux City and Des Moines) is the all-time leader with 517. Dave Siciliano (Thunder Bay and Sioux City), Mike Hastings (Omaha), and Steve Johnson (Fargo-Moorhead and Lincoln). Only Siciliano and Hastings are still active coaches in the USHL ahead of O'Handley
