My first car was ... the first car I bought with my money was an '81 Z28 (Camaro). My first car was my mom's (Ford) Gran Torino I drove for a year or so, but I got a job and was able to buy that Z28.

My dream car is ... whatever the next greatest Lexus is.

I change my oil ... I just take it to the dealer every 5,000 miles, the way it's supposed to be taken in, and they fix it right up.

The last time I used a GPS was ... yesterday. I use it all the time.

The best cruising music is ... David Gray. He played at the banquet, and I really enjoyed him there. Got to give him a ride around the Vegas track in one of the Petty cars, and he was fun.

When I get a flat ... I had one with (daughter) Macy and the family in the car going to Winston-Salem one night, and it was cold, of course, and raining, of course. Couldn't have been any worse conditions. And we just pulled over and changed it.

Hybrids are ... amazing! I love it. It's just cool technology.

My No. 1 car tip is ... make sure your tires have enough air in them. And, just in general, listen to your car. Sometimes it'll tell you something's wrong with it before it goes wrong.

My No. 1 pet peeve with fellow motorists is ... following too closely when you're not going to pass.

On a scale of 1-10, my road rage rating is ... zero. Road rage makes me madder than anything in the whole world. Everybody's got issues. Just let 'em breathe a little bit.

The Sprint Cup driver who would be the most maniacal on the road is ... Jimmy Spencer seems like he would be in a hurry.
