Are you looking for something to keep you busy on cold winter nights? Maybe you'd like to learn a new skill or help others in your community. If you said yes to one or more of these statements, Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency has a volunteer opportunity for you.

Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency Inc. is looking for community members to be a part of the Tax Assistance Program. Our tax program volunteers meet and greet participants, prepare taxes or answer phones. There are both day and evening shifts available. NWCSA's Tax Assistance Program is in its fifth year of helping community members prepare their federal and state taxes for free.

Even if you're not comfortable doing someone else's taxes, there's no need to work. The IRS provides training and certification at no cost to you. Volunteer training begins Dec. 12. Applications are available at 1118 Tower Ave. or at www.northwest-csa.org .

For information, contact Jo at 715-392-5127 in Superior or Beth at 715-292-6400 ext 1 in Ashland.
