The Northwestern High School boys basketball team maintained its unblemished record Tuesday with a 65-30 win at Ironwood.
The Tigers, now 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Heart O' North Conference, were dominant from the start, including outscoring their opponent 20-8 in the first quarter.
Saul Falter had two 3-pointers and a two-point shot in the quarter to lead Northwestern. And in the second quarter Falter remained hot for the Tigers.
Northwestern racked up 17 more points in the second quarter, seven from Falter. Ironwood, meanwhile, couldn't find the basket and was held to just two points.
At that point the Tigers led 37-10.

In the third quarter Northwestern extended its lead even further, up 52-19 going into the final quarter.
Ironwood's Chasz Cameron stepped up in the fourth quarter and put some pressure on the Tigers. He scored 10 of Ironwood's 11 points in the quarter. The Tigers continued their rounded attack as four players scored for 13 points, and Northwestern walked away with the 65-30 victory.
Eight Northwestern players scored in the game, three of them in double figures. Falter led the way with 18 points, 12 of which came from 3-pointers.
Aaron Corry was a consistent presence in each quarter added 13 for the Tigers, while Steven Tecker made 5-of-6 free throws in the first quarter and six points in the second half to total 11 points.
Cameron was the only Ironwood player in double figures as he made 15 points, half of the team's total.
The Tigers host Barron at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
