Northwest Graziers conference held in Spooner

The Northwest Wisconsin Graziers Network holds its 2010 annual conference 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 13 at the Spooner Elementary School.

The conference features Greg Judy of Missouri, a nationally-known expert on high-density mob grazing and multi-species grazing.

Rhonda Gildersleeve, the UW-Extension grazing specialist, discusses methods of pasture establishment. Additional conference topics include pastured poultry and soil management for grazing.

The school is located on the northwest side of Spooner on County Road K just south of County A.

The cost of the conference is $20 and includes lunch prepared from locally-produced meat and other food items.
