A car hit a school bus Wednesday morning as it was leaving the rear bus drive of Superior Middle School near Golden Living Center. No injuries were reported.

Approximately 20 students were on the bus, which was on its way to Maranatha Academy, according to Capt. Matt Markon of the Superior Police Department. The driver of the eastbound car had stopped at the stop sign on N. 37th Street, then drove into the side of the bus as it passed in front of her at about 7:43 a.m. The car struck the bus right behind the driver's seat area. The driver of the car claimed the sun blinded her and she didn't see the bus in front of her, Markon said. She was issued citations for operating after revocation and failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign. Both vehicles sustained minor damage, but were drivable, Markon said.
