While the presidential primaries have drawn national attention, there is a local primary that deserves the close scrutiny. The race for the 73rd Assembly seat with the retirement of Frank Boyle is of the utmost importance and I feel the most qualified candidate is Nick Milroy.
I have known Nick through his active role in the Douglas County Democratic Party. Nick is a graduate of UW-Superior earning a degree in biology and has taught at UW-Eau Claire. He is a lifelong resident of Superior and his family has been active in the local business community. He is uniquely qualified to balance the necessity for smart economic development with the need to preserve our environment and protect the Great Lakes. Nick has also proudly served in the Navy and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. He is a devoted family man and cares deeply about issues affecting working families. Nick Milroy is a true Democrat. As a working man and a union member I am strongly supporting Nick Milroy for Assemblyman. Vote for Nick on Sept. 9.
