51, Bennett, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mickey was born July 30, 1956, in Superior to George "Bud" and Lois (Jackson) Pettingill.

Mickey served his country in U.S. Marine Corps from 1974 to 1978, receiving a marksman badge, a letter of appreciation and a good conduct medal.

Mickey married Michele Khalar on March 19, 1982, they enjoyed 25 years together.

He was a truck driver for 18 years with Jeff Foster Co. Mickey enjoyed hunting with his father, car restoration, auto racing and watching his two favorite sport teams, the Packers and Brewers. Mickey loved being a grandpa and spending time with his family.

Among those who survive and gratefully shared his life are his wife, Michele, of Bennett, two daughters, Brittany Pettingill of Bennett and Stacy (Chris) Pooler of Barnes; one granddaughter, Najhaia Nelson; one brother, David (Linda) Pettingill of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Kandace Pettingill of California; and his parents, Bud and Lois Pettingill.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bennett Cemetery. Pastor James Walsh will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Marine Corps.
