Mary Lou Arbutus Tokar, 73, longtime Billings Park, Superior area resident, died Friday, June 1, 2007, at Diamond Willow Assisted Living, Proctor, surrounded by her family.

Mary Lou Arbutus Tokar, 73, longtime Billings Park, Superior area resident, died Friday, June 1, 2007, at Diamond Willow Assisted Living, Proctor, surrounded by her family.

She was born in South Range on May 8, 1934, the daughter of Peter and Hannah (Johnson) Botten.

She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Eric) Stuart, Foxboro and Diane (Jim) Petrich, Duluth; two sons, Brian (Janet) Tokar, Poplar and Joseph Tokar, Stillwater, Minn.; 10 grandchildren, Linda (Mauricio) Cordova, Ben (Jennifer) Stuart, Janelle (Philip) Roe, Nolan Tokar, Jake Tokar, Rose Tokar, Kayla Petrich, Tony Petrich, Ashley Tokar and Nick Tokar; five great-grandchildren, Ananda, Luca, Noah, Julia, and Bethany; two brothers, Peter (Marge) Botten and Douglas (Marilyn) Botten; one sister, Bernice LeMone; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Tokar on Sept. 16, 2005; her parents, Peter and Hannah Botten; two sisters, Eunice Wilson and Verna Edman; and five brothers, Morris, Orville, Lyle, Roland and Jake Botten.

Visitation begins after 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 East Fifth St., Superior, with a Scripture service scheduled for 7 p.m. Visitation resumes at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, Superior, until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Daniel Dahlberg as celebrant.
