Man dies after shed falls on him

DULUTH, Minn. -- A 35-year-old Duluth man died late Tuesday north of Duluth after a shed had fallen on him. David Szyszkoski was attempting to move the shed, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Wednesday. The Sheriff’s Office responded at 10:30 p.m., and Szyszkoski was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death is under investigation.

The St. Louis County Rescue Squad and Fredenberg Township Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.

The incident occurred 18 miles north of downtown Duluth near the Island Lake Reservoir.

Szyszkoski is listed as a former resident of Chassell, Mich., in a death notice. The notice described his death as having been “from injuries received in an accident.”
