Lois Ellen Kanzler, 74, Superior, formerly of Apache Junction, Ariz., died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at the home of her daughter, Karen Stark, surrounded by family and friends.
God saw her getting tired, and a cure for cancer not meant to be, so He put his arm around her, and whispered come with me.
Lois was born Aug. 17, 1933, in Spooner, the daughter of Matilda (Arnquist) and Harry Tripp. She was the youngest of five children.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents; and two brothers, Dale and baby Tripp.
Lois is survived by her husband, John, Superior; three children from her previous marriage to Harold Strand, Richard (Jamie) Strand, Superior, Marlys (James) Pederson, Poplar and Karen (Patrick) Stark, Superior; and two brothers, Myron (Florence) Tripp and Wayne (Elizabeth) Tripp. She was blessed with wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends. Ms. Hallie (her poodle) was a faithful friend and companion who never left her side.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until the 1 p.m. memorial service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th St. Ron Henely, chaplain of St. Mary's Hospice and Palliative Care, will officiate.
